Skikda Thermal Power Plant
The new 880 MW combined cycle power plant is located in the coastal town of Skikda, Algeria. The project is part of a broader government program whose mission is to generate more electricity from the gas reserves of the country. Algeria is a resource-rich country, with a daily production of crude oil evaluated at 1.5 million barrels per day. About 90% of the crude oil is exported to Eastern Europe.
